Although Burton's founder, Lionel Burton, died in 1965, Burton Power remains true to his fundamental principle of quality and service. Our well known Sea Lion logo, designed originally to illustrate the company's balancing skills, has become a hallmark for excellence. In 1993, these skills were recognized by our achievement of the ISO9001 certification. This international quality standard involves constant inspection and monitoring of the quality of our suppliers products and services, as well as our own.

From our early days of engine balancing, we have progressed to the sharp edge of motorsport, where we carry out specialist engineering work on all types of high performance engine. Our workshops incorporate the modern equipment and technical skills essential for this type of precision work. Our powerflow cylinder heads, the result of repeated flowbench testing and race development, are renowned for their quality and performance. Cylinder blocks for sleeving, pistons for valve pocketing, flywheels for modifying, cranks and rods for crack testing - all these services, plus many more are carried out daily for race teams, professional engine builders and private enthusiasts.

R & D are essential to our growth in Europe and we encourage our suppliers to work with us in the constant development and improvement of our product range. We will not sell any part until we have tested it, and evaluated possible improvements.

This expertise has been greatly enhanced by our long and close association with many of the most popular and successful English and International motorsport competitors, developing engines that deliver the power they want, when they want it, from the starting grid to the chequered flag. Working with competitors at all levels of motorsport and helping them build race winning cars allows our customers to benefit from our experience.

This approach has kept Burton Power at the forefront in the implementation of new technology and materials. It is this hands-on involvement with all aspects of engine modification that has, over the years, enabled us to accumulate a wealth of knowledge - which you, our customer, will benefit from.

We have also consistently supported the classic cars, and have invested considerably in the production of obsolete parts to keep these memorable cars on the road or race track. Converting cylinder heads to run on unleaded fuel now forms a major part of our daily workshop throughput and once again our skills can be put to good use in ensuring this high-tech. operation is carried out with the utmost accuracy.

In addition to our engine parts operation, we also stock a very large range of specialist parts for transmission, brakes, suspension, steering and electrics. As with our engine components, the suppliers have been selected for the quality of their product, after sales service and of course, value for money.
